The Skar Audio SDR-12 D2 subwoofer was designed to redefine the term "daily" subwoofer, both in terms of power output and acoustic responsiveness across the entire low end frequency range. The engineering considerations that went into developing this 12-inch subwoofer are extensive, and contribute to why the SDR series has continued to be one of the most popular subwoofer lines we have ever released.
Featuring a 2.5" 4-layer high temperature copper voice coil, the SDR-12 can operate at peak performance for hours on end with the peace of mind knowing that it can handle the brutality. Combine that with the top-tier, high flux ferrite motor of this driver, and it is by no surprise that this subwoofer can reproduce low end bass frequencies with authority. Furthermore, we integrated a unique red nomex spider suspension system into the design that utilizes the perfect blend of stiffness and flexibility. The aforementioned components of the SDR-12 as well as its advanced air flow cooling design, are what ultimately allow for the incredible responsiveness & power handling of this subwoofer.

Hella decent sub..
Bumps and rumbles are present. I purchased this to replace a Walmart subwoofer that wasn't terrible, but the Skar Audio is easily twice as good and uses 200 watts less at peak. I, as a customer, have no complaints.

Solid speakers
For anyone seeking a daily driver with excellent bass, I recommend purchasing a pair of these. I have paired two of these with one of Skar Audio's 1200w amplifiers, and it's so powerful that it shakes the front windows of my house from my driveway, even with a sealed box. I would definitely buy this again for another vehicle.

Bass in extended cab silverado 09
This thing hits. I let my little seat in the back up and made something for it to sit on. Quick disconnect when I need the seat. Crack the windows and it pounds the ground. I didnt care for the wiring kit. It said copper, but it looks aluminum to me. I got a big copper kit for proper cooling, and its all good. I wanted the 15, but the box was too big.

Slams hard
After a few months of use with the 12 prefab box (also from Skar Audio), I can say that this was a very wise purchase. For only $90, the performance that can be reached with this sub is insane. I'm even underpowering it at 500 watts RMS and people are asking if I have two 15s in my car. If being asked if I have two 15s when I only have a single, underpowered 12 doesn't say enough, I don't know what will.

Slams Boat!
Just one 12 sub with Skar Audio marine amps and Skar Audio marine speakers. Holy bass, Batman! The amps completely woke up the speakers, but one sub makes it feel like the boat is going to shake apart. I was testing it out in the driveway and neighbors three streets over could hear it clearly. Now for some sound deadening... but I'm hyper impressed!

POWER TO DESTROY PLANETS, THIS IS THE DEATH STAR!
This is the most epic stereo setup I have ever owned. I can hear the highs and mids. That bass though, when they fired it up in the installation bay, I was about 50 feet away. I turned so fast, wondering who was that loud. It was my Ford. It looked like a mirage, vibrating seriously. This turns heads so fast that I may be causing whiplash and neck injuries all over town. I hope they don't send me bills. It's tuned right and just cracks concrete as it's rolling.
